Minmatar won the event last year so expect a very cool theme in Harpa.

Bring her along. There is a serious rise in the amount of spouses who attend through the Sisters of EVE program.
This way you both get to have a great holiday with the bonus of no divorce CCP Navigator - Lead Community Representative |

Depends how much money I will save up before then. Anyone from US, CA and that went to Fanfest before... How much does it generally cost and how much you think you'll spend on fanfest? Need a rough estimate, especially on the SPENDING part like booze and souviners.
I am sure there will be some other Americans who can pop in and give you some more advice but the best thing you can look at doing now is booking early as flight prices are cheaper the earlier you book them. You can check out Icelandair and Iceland Express to see which is cheaper from your nearest domestic airport.
Accommodation can take up quite a bit of your budget but there are quite a few low cost hotels which are popular with EVE players and you should check out the Hotel Cabin for early low rates.
The price of alcohol will vary from bar to bar but you can pick up duty free beer and spirits when you arrive in Iceland to subsidize that expense. In a bar a beer will range from 500 ISK up to around 800 ISK.
There really is nothing quite like your first Fanfest. CCP Tyr has been making the event bigger and better with every year so this one is going to be the best so far CCP Navigator - Lead Community Representative |
